Bradford Logo

Anticon is another superior Bradford product that combines glass wool insulation and reflective foil.

The foil provides additional protection against condensation—hence the name, ‘anticon’.  Anticon is the perfect insulation for homes with tin, fibre cement or concrete roofs.

It is also designed to reduce noise. Anticon provides excellent thermal insulation reducing by up to 97% the amount of heat entering the home through the roof in summer and heat escaping in winter.

It comes in a variety of thicknesses (60mm to 130mm) to meet a range of insulation requirements and is made from 80% recycled and non-combustible material. Anticon is perfect for:

  • Noise reduction
  • Minimising condensation
  • Keeping your home cool in summer and warm in winter

Batts have been providing excellent thermal insulation in Australian homes for many years.

Australian made Batts are available from both Fletcher and CSR Bradford and are now much softer to handle than traditional glasswool insulation.

They will retain their shape for superior long-term thermal performance and contain as much as 80% recycled content.

Batts have excellent fire retardant qualities and are available for wall, floor and ceiling insulation.

Batts make good sense if you’re concerned about the environment as they have been certified as a Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) product and the lifetime homeowner warranty adds additional peace of mind.

And if you’re concerned about allergies or asthma then Bradford Batts are the only insulation partner of the National Asthma Council Australia's Sensitive Choice program.

Batts come in a range of sizes and thicknesses for different insulation requirements and also to suit differing stud spacings.

Australian made blankets produced by well-known companies such as Fletcher and Earthwool are similar to the Batts but are typically used more for sound insulation.

Blankets will:

  • Keep your home cooler in summer and warmer in winter
  • Reduce condensation when used with a Sisalation® pliable building membrane
  • Act as a flame retardant

Containing as much as 80% recycled content Blankets are Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) certified.

We can also supply specialist blankets such as Bradford cavity blankets for adding insulation within brick cavities.

Knauf Earthwool insulation is an innovative glass wool insulation that can be used in metal and timber framing, for external and internal walls, under floor, and in ceiling cavities and roof battens.

Its excellent thermal properties and environmental friendliness are winning converts throughout Australia.

Earthwool offers:

  • Superior thermal insulation to keep your home cool in summer and warm in winter
  • Excellent noise reduction properties
  • A range of densities and thicknesses for differing requirements including stud sizes

Earthwool products are also rot resistant, do not support vermin, and are odourless.

Earthwool batts are packaged in clever highly compressed plastic wrapping that reduces the amount of storage space. When you open the bag the insulation rapidly expands to its full thickness.

Permastop building blanket is another innovative product from the Fletcher range.

Permastop is designed to reduce condensation thanks to a layer of Sisalation® foil and at the same time keep your home toasty warm in winter and prevent summer heat entering your home through the roof.

Permastop has excellent acoustic insulation properties as well so you won’t be bothered by the noise of rain on the roof or planes flying over head.

You can choose from three thicknesses of foil - light, medium or heavy duty - and the insulation itself is Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) certified glass wool (made from 80%recycled material).

Permastop meets the Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) requirements of AS 3959 – 2009.

Permastop also comes in a version (Permastop Tropic) designed for particularly hot and humid climates.

Insulation mesh provides a convenient way of holding insulation in place and is commonly used in large roof spaces where insulation needs to be held firmly intact before ceiling panels can be attached or to avoid sagging of the insulation over time.

No1. Roofing and Building Supplies can supply a range of insulation mesh types each with their distinct advantages including:

  • Wire mesh—galvanised for long life—especially appropriate for large span areas
  • Nylon mesh netting--does not rust and there are various types to suit all applications

Get the appropriate mesh and avoid battling with sagging insulation while you try to attach cladding.

Worker safety while working on roofs is of critical importance.

Heavy penalties apply for worker safety lapses and worker safety is something you need to be aware of when installing ceiling insulation in new builds.

Ausmesh 300 is the market leader in safety mesh throughout Australia.

Ausmesh not only protects workers from falling through the roof but also protects workers below from falling objects.

Ausmesh also provides support for insulation material in the roof cavity

Ausmesh 300 safety wire mesh features 2mm galvanised wire with a mesh aperture size of 150mm by 300mm.

Ausmesh 300 satisfies the latest standard: AS/NZS 4389:2015 and offers exceptional performance including:

  • More than 450 Mpa tensile strength
  • High corrosion resistance – galvanising meets or exceeds the AS/NZS 4534 WO2 corrosion resistance standard
  • A variety of widths for easy application to various roof spans

Polyair performa is a marvellous innovative insulation product from the Bradford range.

It acts as a combination of; reflected heat barrier, efficient insulation, impervious water barrier and heavy duty sarking all in one. It’s ideal for adding thermal protection to roofs and walls.

The outer foil layer works by reflecting up to 95% of the sun’s radiant heat as well as providing an effective water barrier.

An inner foam core, either 4mm or 8mm thick, provides excellent thermal insulation while the inner foil layer provides an additional thermal and moisture barrier.

It’s a great choice under metal roofs or behind brick veneer walls.

Polyair is rated as very low in flammability tests and the latest bonding techniques ensure the layers are highly resistant to delamination or deterioration.
