Description
Boxspan beams are a type of roll-formed beam that is made from two “C” shaped sections of high tensile, zinc-coated steel.
These beams are mechanically locked together with a patented process, resulting in a beam that is 40-60% lighter than a traditional steel beam but with the same strength.
This unique system provides the benefits of a full protective zinc coating on the inside and outside of the beam, making it ideal for subframe flooring applications.
Boxspan beams allow our customers to substitute timber in many structural applications, providing a more durable and longer lasting solution.
Unique Strength:
Boxspan® is a unique and efficient way to build strong, durable beams.
The steel has been designed with double thicknesses so that it can withstand heavy loads while still being light enough for easy installation as compared to timber construction methods which require more cutting on-site depending upon what you’re building.
In most applications Boxspan beams require less depth than timber to reach the same span.
