FOUNDATIONS

Foundations and basement areas commonly require some form of waterproof membrane. This is especially true for multi-storey buildings, sloping sites, and in older buildings where adequate drainage may not have been designed or built into the site.

Burst water pipes can also do significant damage below ground if basement and foundation level structures are not protected by a waterproof membrane.

In many cases these areas are often out of sight, out of mind and water seepage can cause considerable damage before it’s noticed including slumping foundations, cracked and bowed walls, rotting timbers, and the growth of unhealthy levels of mould.
