CONCRETE
Concrete buildings are surprisingly susceptible to water damage, especially modern flat roof designs where water can pool and accelerate the speed of structural decay in the roofing materials.
Concrete roofing that lacks adequate waterproofing may allow water to infiltrate and corrode the steel reinforcing rods.
Ultimately, this will result in weak, crumbling concrete structures that allow water ingress even further into the building envelope.
This type of damage can be very expensive to fix and so the installation of a reliable waterproof membrane is critical.
