The weather turns from bad to worse as the new roof is only just half complete. James can only cross his fingers and leave it to the team to decide if to go ahead or stop. But despite the possible water infiltrations, inside the house the painting of the walls continues and the installation of the new timber flooring starts.

Work starts on the only extension to the old floor-plan: a small foyer which will bring the entry door to the front instead of the side and will also dramatically change the shape of the old house and it street appeal.

Asbestos had to be removed and the horse-hair plaster doesn't take any fixing, so all walls had to be opened up. Down to its old bones this old house's awkward foor plan is now ready to be remodeled.
